A ping had been detected through the nearside emanating from Shoram nuclear power plant. The group was tasked with investigating. Cover was arranged as maintenance engineers and they were told to report to a Mr Hagins. Jaroslaw identified the signal as coming from the containment building. Gideon arranged for Mr Hagins to show him round the containment building.

When they met for the inspection Gideon grabbed and drugged him. Inside it was determined there was a broken room in the containment vessel next to the core. Inspecting their broken watches Jack and Brian found it appeared to be continuously cycling between all variants. The group donned protective suits and entered the containment vessel. Immediately the room cycled. They appeared back in the containment vessel but now the broken watch was spinning backwards. Outside the containment vessel they found a newspaper dated 11th March 1989. Jaroslaw determined the room was locked and needed a specific person to open it.

On the outside of the containment building was written Monarch and a stylised M. They took a taxi to Regency towers but found it was called Monarch towers. The lift did not stop at floor 13. They forced the lift and found floor 13 was a maintenance floor. Two guards appeared and asked the group to leave. Instead they were knocked unconscious. They were stripped. Pistols, radios and car keys were found. They then drove to a motel to rest.

Overnight four armed men broke into their rooms shouting freeze. Three were quickly killed and the fourth surrendered. He said how did you get here and how do you know about the exile? He said the exile had found us. He knew about the power plant and had come from 2015 himself. We were stuck in a pocket variation in 1989. They had captured the exile and were using him to control the room. They hoped to ride out the convergence in the pocket variation.

Jaroslaw and Gideon received mental images of Midtown harbour then an image of a container. They thought the images were from the exile. The group went to a gun shop as Jack wanted to buy a shotgun. From there they drove to Midtown. On the way they received more images of the crate and an underwater duct by pier 31. They cut through the fence into the cargo area and began searching for the container. Brian was spotted by a security guard. Brian attacked and overpowered him with Jacks help. He was tied up and gagged after being intimidated into revealing the containers location.

Jaroslaw opened the container using his meridian power but the effort exhausted him. Inside was crates labelled The crates contained weapons. Jaroslaw even found a Ktech plasma weapon which he used to destroy a searchlight that spotted him on the way to pier 31. Jack dived into the water and opened the grid covering the duct. The group got into trouble and nearly drowned before getting to the far end. Gideon suffered from hydrophobia due to the experience.

Three men in overalls opened the door and entered the room. Jaroslaw shut the door behind them and Jack screamed for them to get on the floor. Two complied but the third turned and ran back to the door, getting shot by Jaroslaw for his trouble. Jack then knocked the other two unconscious before they started exploring further.

Jaroslaw detected a number of nearsiders nearby and a stronger presence further away. They continued exploring, killing a number of guards. A pursuit ensued through the complex and the group caught up just as several guards were making an escape on jet skis with the exile tied up on the back of one. Behind the group was chittering sounds and glimses of something black.

The pilot with the jet ski was killed along with another guard but two other guards on a second jet ski escaped. The exile was rescued and the group escaped using the jet ski she was on. They then made their way back to the nuclear power plant where the exile opened the broken room allowing the group return to Earth 1.
