Tashiro gave Regency information about Monarchs plans for the convergence. The 13 Interix would be put in safe houses then from there go to the reef. He gave the location of one of the safe houses in Hoboken near New York. They had obtained a 25 mega ton nuclear weapon and planned on murdering millions of people on Earth 1 to trigger the convergence. It was being kept on Earth 2 in the abandoned Brooklyn bridge subway. There was a broken room from the safe house to Earth 2. The team was tasked with penetrating the safe house to capture the Interix. Then travel to Earth 2 and disable the nuclear warhead.

The team made their way to the safe house. Jack detected no nearsiders nearby. Jaroslaw sensed the broken room to Earth 2 but nothing more and felt there was something blocking nearsight. Jack and Brian broke into the rear of the house. Jaroslaw opened the front door and entered with Gideon. Jaroslaw sensed the broken room was due to cycle in 31 minutes.

Jaroslaw heard a van pull up outside with ADC security written on it. Three men got out. Jack opened fire with his automatic rifle and sprayed them with bullets. They ran back to their van. Two were killed and the third cowered on the ground when threatened by Gideon. Jack interrogated the survivor who admitted to being monarch. His boss was a finder who could sense nearsiders but had been the first to die when jack opened fire. He said a high ranking member had passed through recently. Jack then killed him. In the basement Jaroslaw found the broken room was behind a wall. He found part of the wall moved to reveal a door which had been sealed with a meridian power.

When he searched the basement he found an unconscious figure in a wardrobe. Gideon used his reading meridian to determine he was some sort of key to the door. With Jaroslaw he dragged the figure to the door and pressed his hand against it which caused the door to open. Jaroslaw pushed his Glock into the figures hand then entered the room beyond.

While this happened the police had arrived above and Jack shouted out he wanted 10 million dollars and a helicopter by midnight or the hostages would die. The police threw stun grenades and Jack threw a frag grenade back. He then retreated down to the cellar. In the room beyond the door was a strange painting which Jaroslaw determined was the key to the room. He stared at the painting which triggered the room to cycle.

The room cycled to the basement on Earth 2. The rest of the house was gone. There were two guards preparing to fire. Jack immediately shot one and the other surrendered. He said he had been ordered to kill anyone who came through the room that he did not recognise. Gideon plucked the location of the nuclear warhead from his mind. It was in an old train carriage in a siding of the subway. Jack then killed him.

There were two bikes outside which the team took and headed off towards Staten island subway station with the intention of travelling underground to Brooklyn bridge subway station. On the way a huge flock of birds started flying towards the team. They sped up and made it to the subway entrance and pulled down the barrier just before the birds got to them.

The left the bikes and proceeded down the subway tunnel. They came to a collapse. One door to the service tunnels was open and another was closed. Several wolves charged down the service tunnel and Jack with Brian slammed the door shut as they arrived. They forced the other door open and continued. Past the collapse was a platform. There was some faint light. Brian and Jaroslaw approached wearing night vision goggles. There were two figures at the top of the escalator leading up from the platform. They aimed and opened fire. One collapsed as he was hit by Jaroslaws venom pistol. The other was badly wounded by Brian but fired back before Jaroslaw took him down with his second shot.

They proceeded up into the station. Brian took out a Giger counter which indicated there was a radiation source to the right beyond a locked door. Jaroslaw listened and heard footsteps. He then unlocked the door and Brian leapt inside and grappled someone wearing overalls in the room beyond. Brian knocked him unconscious and took his overalls. There was a door in the West wall of the room and the Giger counter indicated the warhead was in that direction. Beyond was a short tunnel leading to an underground river. In a side cavern was an old railway carriage. Beyond the river was another large cavern. In front of the carriage was two guards with assault rifles.

Brian walked up to them and said he was there to do a radiation check. They replied ,who are you. And told him to put his hands behind his head. He did so then used his moving meridian to throw them back. Jaroslaw shot one but was hit as the other fired back. The other was shot but the gunfire had alerted others in the large cavern who opened fire. Brian leapt into the carriage and had a brief attempt to disarm the warhead he found inside, while Jaroslaw and Gideon retreated down the corridor.

After healing Jaroslaw, Gideon looked round the corridor and opened fire on three figures approaching. Brian fired at another two figures that were approaching the carriage. A stun grenade was thrown into the carriage but Brian blocked it, causing it to detonate outside stunning the throwers. After a firefight four of the attackers were dead and the fifth had retreated calling for assistance. Gideon and Jaroslaw entered the carriage and started disarming the warhead while Brian covered them and opened fire when some monarch operatives appeared in the large cavern.

The operatives hit Brian with several meridian attacks, seriously wounding him. Brian threw a smoke grenade for cover. Jaroslaw managed to disarm the warhead but the monarch operatives approached and attacked. Gideon fired his shotgun, killing two and Jaroslaw killed the third. The team then took the disarmed warhead and made their way back to Earth 1.
