The team were summoned. Three operatives, Mitch Hancock, a juicer, Rita McFadden, an opener and Dutch Landers, a writer had called to report what they thought was a new broken room which had formed in the car lot of Queens best auto, at 117/118 Hillside avenue a week ago. They had not been heard of since. The team were to trace the missing operatives and find out about the room.

They drove to Queens best auto. Jaroslaw sensed a newly formed open room formed by a recent traumatic incident involving several people. The room was in a 1985 Ford Falcon. It went to Earth 3 and cycled whenever the car was driven.

The salesman said the previous owners had died after spinning the car. The driver was thrown through the window and hit by a truck and the passenger was hit by a car when she got out. The team bought the car and took it to a racing track where they drove it round until the room cycled.

The team found themselves in a wrecked car in the middle of a wasteland. In the distance was a canyon and there was another car nearby driven by a woman which started accelerating towards the team. Jack shot her and the car aimed at Brian who had got out of the wreck. When she got close Jaroslaw attacked her with his meridian powers killing her. Brian stopped the car with his meridian powers. Another two vehicles could be seen racing from the canyon.

The team jumped into her car and headed towards them. They started honking their horns and when Jaroslaw did likewise they slowed and stopped. Jaroslaw brought the teams car to a holt nearby. Each had three women aboard. When they shouted 'what happened to Regina' Brian replied that she had attacked the team and had been killed. One of the women shouted 'kill them' and the cars started driving off. Jack used breaking to smash one of the cars and shouted to the other to stop or they would also be destroyed.

They were intimidated enough to stop and start talking. The admitted to seeing the missing operatives. Rita had run off into the desert. Dutch was taken to the kitchens to be diced and cooked. Mitch had exhibited powers which were useful to their leader madam protector so was still alive. They lived in 'the red place' which was in the canyon.

Jack persuaded one of them, Lydia, to come with the team to look for Rita. Jaroslaw used finding to follow her tracks. As they drove a sandstorm was seen in the distance. It was heading towards the team quickly and Lydia shouted to find cover. Jaroslaw headed towards a mound of sand which had something metallic beneath which Brian spotted. It turned out to be the fuselage of a crashed plane and Jaroslaw got inside shortly before the storm hit.

After four hours it passed and Jaroslaw continued following Ritas tracks. They headed towards some caves in the distance. Lydia said a tribe called the morlocks lived there. They lived underground. The team parked about half a mile away and started walking. The morlocks were willing to trade Rita for Jaroslaws Ktech assault rifle. They said they had felsteel and would trade for more rifles. [A new supply of felsteel would be very useful]

The team then returned to the canyon. Lydia said to approach slowly and sound the horn three times then twice then once. They were directed to a cavern filled with vehicles. Mitch was there chained up. He was working as a mechanic. Lydia lead the team to the kitchen. The chef said Dutch was in the larder. Lydia led the team to the larder. Dutch was hanging on a hook but had a very weak pulse. The team carried him to the car then Lydia took them to see madam protector.

She agreed to exchange Mitch and Dutch for some assorted equipment and weapons. She had a prosthetic arm made of felsteel. When asked about it she said it was made with the help of the artefact. Jaroslaw determined there was a real artefact in the room with powers to mend and create.

Brian told her all about the exiles and she was impressed. She agreed to let him try using it to mend his arm. It severed his useless arm and created a new one made of felsteel. [An interesting artefact, need to investigate if it could be obtained] That made madam protector very impressed and she wanted Brian to tell her more about the exiles and wanted him to stay. Brian said he had to leave but would speak to the masses first. He persuaded her to give him a quarter of their felsteel supplies 'for the exiles' [a potential supply of free felsteel, very impressive]

The team then returned to the wrecked car. Jaroslaw sped up the cycle time and enlarged the room as the wrecked car was not large enough to fit everyone. They found themselves by the ford falcon which was in a scrap yard. They arranged for it to be towed to regency towers.

[The team appears to have suddenly become far more competent, securing two new sources of felsteel. Need to schedule blood tests to ensure they have not been replaced by a team of variant selves from a different earth variant].
