After completion of mission P455wa2 and on the way back from the airport the team received a message from James Kline saying Neil Ellington had been involved in an automobile accident and the team were wanted at the hospital. The team stopped at a gun store on the way. Before they got to the hospital the taxi suddenly accelerated and the seatbelts came loose. The taxi driver started screaming about having no control. Jaroslaw tried using opening to disable the vehicle then Jack tried using breaking. Both felt resistance to their powers. The taxi eventually crashed into a building. Jaroslaw sensed nearsiders rapidly heading away from the crash site.

The taxi driver was taken to hospital with Gideon. Jack and Jaroslaw made their own way there. While at the hospital Brian assaulted a nurse while attempting to get to see Neil and was arrested. They also heard that James had also been involved in an automobile accident on the way to the hospital. Eventually Katherine Ryder got Brian released on bail.

News arrived that James Klein died on the way to hospital. The team requisitioned the blood ankh and the skull cup talisman. The team reviewed security camera footage regency had obtained of the crash sites. After much study Jaroslaw spotted identical cars that had been at every accident. It was a driverless car run by a company called Zooss who offered a driverless taxi service.

The cars used technology called desktop intelligence (DI). The team arranged for a meeting with the company the following morning at 8:30.

They then went to the crash sites and determined momentum had been involved in all of them. Jaroslaw then booked a ride on a Zooss car to the hospital with Gideon. Jack and Brian followed in their car. Jaroslaw got a brief feeling of nearside which rapidly faded. Then Jack started feeling he was losing control of his car. At the same time the Zooss car swerved to avoid Jack and Jack regained control after Brian blocked whatever was controlling the car.

At the hospital Brian jried to jack the Zooss car up and it tried to run him over. It drove off after Jaroslaw and Gideon got out. Jack and Gideon visited Ellington. Gideon healed him and briefed him on what had occurred.

The following morning the team attended the meeting at Zoos's offices. It was on the 13th floor of Olympus towers. Brian asked a few questions about the building and being on the 13th floor. He threw in the question about counting to 13 to which their CO Lydia replied no and smiled. [a good sign they are monarch]. The background story was that the team were capital investments looking to invest in the company. There was a discussion about financing. Zooss claimed their cars had a 100% safety record.

When the team was asked to leave Brian attacked one of them. Jack then threw the other out of a window. The one Brian was grappling suddenly died. The office staff were getting interested in the commotion but Jack set off the fire alarm and they all fled the building. Jaroslaw determined the conference room was a broken room to Earth 9. As the emergency services could be heard arriving outside Jaroslaw opened the room allowing the team to escape.

Eight drowned in the room moved to attack. Jack smashed a window and jumped out of the room. Jaroslaw followed him. Gideon used his reading meridian to determine the server room was in the basement and Brian attacked the drowned, knocking some over. Gideon then fled. Brian got swamped by a crowd and Jack had to open the floor beneath them to allow Brian to escape.

The team fled down the stairs to the lobby which was full of drowned. They quickly descended to the basement where there were more drowned. The team defeated them after a long fight during which they managed to get some weapons from a security room.

In the server room there was six servers. The servers were covered with a silver sludge which moved to completely cover the servers when Jack shot one. Brian fired a Taser at the sludge and an area of it turned a dull grey. Brian then tasered the sludge on a second server before Jaroslaw pulled down an electrical cable from the roof and used it to destroy the rest of the sludge. While Jack held off more drowned the rest of the team destroyed all the servers. When the lst server was destroyed and the drowned in the building collapsed to the floor.

Jaroslaw and Gideon then went round making sure all the drowned were dead while Brian and Jack built barricades on the 13th floor as the team planned on staying until nightfall to avoid whatever was happening on Earth 1.

When the drowned finally broke through the barricades Jaroslaw cycled the room back to earth 1. It was night. The conference room had been taped off by the police and there was the shadow of policeman outside. The team waited until the coast was clear then crept away.
