Sureceth Spire

Ta’a Met approached the crew and asked to hire them. He wanted help returning to his homeland, the city U’Duasha in Iruvia. Specifically he needed the crew to get him into a specific room in the Sureceth demon spire in Betu’At district. He said he was exiled from the city a long time ago. The crew did some research. The city was known as the crown of the black desert, built round a central well. It had four demon spires. There were special guards called Gualim who were holy guardians of the spires. People there spoke Iruvia. Only John in the crew spoke it.

The crew bought some clothes matching the Gualim uniforms. The plan was to dress as guards and Ta’a Met would be dressed as a prisoner to gain access to the spire. The crew took a train to Iruvia. The heat there was oppressive. The crew presented themselves as prisoner guards at the spire. Finbar distracted the guards and the crew crept inside. John sensed a demonic presence from above and the crew crept upwards. Eventually they saw a blue glow from above which proved to becoming from a blue glowing barrier. Narsisus determined the energy was being syphoned from a central source beyond the barrier. She shorted it out and the crew quickly passed through.

There was a door on a central column in the room which Ta'a identified as being the room he needed access to. Narsissus unlocked the door. Beyond was swirling demonic energy. Ta’a gave the crew a piece of paper and stepped into the room, dissolving into energy. Finbar froze at the sight and Narsissus had to give him Spark to shock him into action as there were sounds of guards below. Bob attacked a group of guards as the rest of the crew fled. When the guard captain expertly disarmed Bob he turned and fled with the rest.

The crew started climbing down the outside of the tower but fell part way down and were all injured. They quickly fled the city then crept back to the train station to make the trip home. The paper was a map to where the payment was hidden.
